What do I do when...?

My laptop becomes unresponsive while I run Google SketchUp 6?

When I first downloaded SketchUp 6, I ran it and did not have any problems. When I ran it the next day, my laptop turned unresponsive. I tried Alt+Ctrl+Del, pressing the Windows button, pressing the Power button on my laptop - nothing worked. I waited for at least 10 minutes to see if it would work again but nothing happened. In the end I just pulled the plug.

I'm running Windows XP, and while I've seen the system requirements for SketchUp at the Google website, I don't really know if I'm meeting them 'cause I know little about hardware and all that stuff.

What do I do? I've tried uninstalling it and then running the program, but the same thing happens for all the five times I've downloaded and run it.

Can you help? Thanks! I really appreciate it.

Please don't give me a link to the Google website because I've seen it and I don't really understand whether or not my laptop meets the requirements.

Here are my laptop specs, anyways:
-Intel Pentium Dual Core T2130
-1MB L2 Cache, 1.86GHz, 533MHz FSB
-SIS M671MX + SIS 968
-1GB DDR2 Memory
-80GB SATA Hard Disk Drive
-SIS Mirage3 Graphics
-NEO VisionCare 12.1" WXGA TFT LCD
-802.11 b/g Wireless LAN
-10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet LAN

The "unresponsiveness" may be it's downloading an update. Try just giving it some time to finish. If not, go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore. Pick the date before you FIRST installed it. It should be noted in the comment for that date. Your problem is, the setting are set in the registry. Subsequent installs won't change them. Running System Restore will remove them. Once clean, a fresh install may work. I did not look at the requirements for SketchUp, but you laptop sounds adequate.
