What are the spec on the RAM for a HP Pavilion zd8000?

can you belive RTFM didn't work
i need to know the number of pins on the RAM
after checking out newegg there were ram opitions of like 200 pin or 144 so i dont know

You have to find out all you can when buying RAM. Maybe the best thing to do is go to your manufacturer's web site. In the Support section you should be able to track down what to use. (I'd suggest the latest version you can find.) Crucial.com, PNY.com, etc. can all tell you what goes with your particular model.
