Macbook air CD drive??? |
Does the macbook air have a CD drive? no. you can buy a USB external CD drive but beware - it has 1 (!!!) usb port... No ethernet, only wireless. No. You have to buy an external CD/DVD drive and connect it via USB. No, the Macbook Air doesn't come with a CD drive. However, if your Macbook Air is on a network, you can "borrow" another computer's CD drive Well I'm not positive but the MacBook Air comes with a separate usb drive called the Super Drive I think which is for that purpose. You can buy an optional USB CD drive that matches the Macbook Air from Apple. They sacrificed the internal CD drive to save battery life and space. It does come with a CD with the software required to steal anybody elses CD drive and and remote connect to it to use as you own. As for thinks like ethernet, modems and other connections, well thats what USB hubs are for. Apple also can sell you a USB ethernet adaptor or modem should you need those. Otherwise just use the wireless option (this is after all where the Air part of its name comes from). |
