My Laptop is really hot?? helppp?

I have a Gateway Laptop and all the really hot air comes out from the left side and its gets me real hott and my hands too and its really uncomfortable.. is it because its a Gateway?

I was thinking of getting a black Macbook. will it be any different? thanks for ur help

Mac books tend to be cooler but that doesn't mean you have to give up your Gateway. If you don't really give up the Gateway, get a laptop technician to install a better fan inside, if possible he could install double fans but I am not sure about that.
A better fan will cool the laptop more and less hot air will come. But i don't really understand how it bothers your hands .
By the way, your laptop could have tons of dust inside , get a technician to open it and use compressed air to blow it out. DO NOT TRY TO OPEN THE LAPTOP BY YOURSELF and do this. You could screw up the laptop.

Macbooks tend to run cooler. Try turning off the Gateway for a while.

yes it would be a difference i think that gateway has too much dust and or dirt.

its not beacuse its a gateway but what i would suggest you to do is get a laptop cooler for like $25 instead of purchasing a brand new computer. here is a good laptop cooler if you were thinking about getting one:

The CPU is heating up as the cooling fan is slowing down either due to dust in it or some other reason. Probably need to take it in to have it checked. In the mean time I would recommend backing up any data you have on the computer.
