I installed Windows Vista, but the ability to scroll using the touchpad on my laptop has now stopped working? |
My Laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1501. I installed Vista Ultimate. Any ideas to get the scroll option working again? You need to visit the Dell website and get the Vista touchpad driver for the Inspiron 1501. Haaaa! Did you make sure all the updates where downloaded and applied? Update all drivers. Make sure the Drivers for your touchpad is compatable with Vista. Run windows / dell update then find a Vista compatable driver. that's happened to me twice in the last month, You will have to install your mouse driver for windows vista. To do this go to dell support section of the website and choose your laptop. The link for the mouse section of your laptop is: best thing to do is just have vista removed cuz that program came out to early and not every glich was worked out it has had a lot of problems not just on lap tops but home computers also not the same problems present on every computer but many diff problems may come up sometimes none at all or it just takes a while for things to pop up well i had a dell laptop and myine did the same thing as yours did if you don't want to buy anew computer you can buy a usb mouse it is a cordless mouse that you can put in the back of the computer you get one of these at wal-mart or redio shack or at any computer store i did this and it worked for me....but i gave it to my big bro for school and got me a new computer i am only 13 soon 14 but i know alot of stuff about computer ask someone that know aboyt computer's they will say the same thing i said so try it and get back to me a datheryan@yahoo.com and tell me is you are ok with is or i you need help...... get a free laptop on this site instead of buying retail |
