AMD Turion 64x2 or Intel Pentium III???

Which processor is better out of the two to? I know pentium III, I think is just a year old, but I don't know anything about the AMD Turion.

I would say get the AMD Turion 64x2 because it is a dual-core processor! Intel makes dual core processors also, but a Pentium III is not one of them. Pentium III is old technology, and 800mhz is nothing compared to modern dual-core processors.. Dual-core processors are the newest and fastest type of processor. So, the AMD, in this case, would be the better choice if you're looking for the better-performing processor.

Pentium 3? Ancient stuff which processor you compare to? Core 3 is not out yet.
