X2 for AMD denotes dual core. And no, dual core does not mean a running speed of 4 Ghz. Common misconception. It actually means both cores are running at 1.9 Ghz. Meaning if you multi-threaded programs (programs that can take advantage of dual core computers) they will run a lot fast (and on both cores).

That is not a quad core processor, it is a low-end dual core processor, commonly found in laptops. I'd recommend an Intel Core 2 Duo.

Aside from that, it is NOT clocked at 4ghz. Each core isn't 1.9Ghz- it's the total clock.
