Need to start up an old dell latitude in safe mode? |
I bought a dell latitude XP4100D at a estate auction and when I power it on it asks for a password, it says press <enter> to leave password security enabled, or press <cntr><enter> to disable password security. I tried both and it states Password is incorrect. number of unsuccessful attempts: 7 or more. Sytem halted! Must power down. Service tag Number 2RFSP From Dell's site: To get into safe mode, push F8 a lot during the startup. If you do it before windows boots up, you shouldnt need a password. |
