Need to start up an old dell latitude in safe mode?

I bought a dell latitude XP4100D at a estate auction and when I power it on it asks for a password, it says press <enter> to leave password security enabled, or press <cntr><enter> to disable password security. I tried both and it states Password is incorrect. number of unsuccessful attempts: 7 or more. Sytem halted! Must power down. Service tag Number 2RFSP

I cant get it to start in safe mode to change thing around. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From Dell's site:

Disabling a Forgotten Password
If the administrator and primary passwords are active and they are lost, the system can only be accessed through the use of the master password. This password is unique to each system and can only be obtained by contacting Dell Technical Support.

To get into safe mode, push F8 a lot during the startup. If you do it before windows boots up, you shouldnt need a password.
