What will vista run like on this laptop? |
I know its a pretty bad processor, but how will vista premium run on a Intel Celeron C530 Processor If it is Vista compatible then it will run OK. It will be slow but it should work. 64-bit Vista will be very slow, it's just too powerful. You should really have 2Gb of RAM to run any kind of Vista at a decent pace but it mainly depends on what you're going to do on it. I would say then yes, of course it'll work so long as it is Vista compatible (less than 3ish years old) but it may be slow when running resource hungry applications. Go to your computers web site and it will tell you if it can handle vista or not. Most sites have upgraded their sites about this concern. With Vista, it is not just the processor, it is also the amount of installed memory (2GB or better) and the type of graphics (discrete is better then integrated) that affect performance when it comes to laptops. I would wait on upgrading to Vista, as it's successor is planned for a 2nd half 2009 release. if you're thinking of buying a laptop you should check out this site first. they give you a sony vaio laptop for FREE! all you need to do is complete a few quick tasks for them. |
