I hit ctrl + alt + del and under the TAB Processes I am viewing CPU usage at 90-100%.?

However, I am only running 11 programs and adding the CPU #'s for the programs running does not amount to that high of a CPU usage. So how can I find out what program is sucking all the usage? It's not showing up on the Processes tab.

11 Programs running (i.e. Firefox, Kaspersky)
52 Processes
CPU usage: 75-100%
Physical Memory: 82%

Why would Firefox make my CPU usage be so high? Doesn't make sense. Something is hidden and sucking a lot of CPU from me I think. How do I find this out? I ran the scan virus, ad-aware, registery cleaner, and RAM optimizer.

I have a Windows Vista 100GB HD 1GB RAM 32-Bit nVidia GeForce 6150 AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core 2.0

Please help I tried everything!

Well, lets see...you have 52 processes running of which SOME of those are using some processor time, otherwise they would not be running at all. But what does tell me something substantial is that you are running Vista on a 100 GB hard disk. That is a very small disk and with just 1 GB of RAM, you don't quite have enough memory to run things I am afraid without doing some virtual memory writing to the hard disk. The turion and the small hard disk and the single GB of RAM tells me you have a laptop.

In reality, it takes just about 1 GB just to run Vista IF you are using the glass look feature...so this means, what is running is not running fully in RAM alone, but is being written to and read from virtual memory on your small hard disk. The reading and writing can take up processor time. My advice is for you to add more RAM to your computer, if it will take more RAM. I would add as much as you can add, at least 1 more Gig. This will free your computer up to run Vista in RAM and reduce the amount of virtual writing to the hard disk.

Secondly, you could be having some other things like a virus scan set in the background. Look at how all your software is loading and what each software is doing.

Just because you scanned for virus' doesn't mean your software is good...and if you are only using one kind of software, I advise you use two or three different adaware/malware's. Don't use more than one antivirus!
It could be, if you are noticing this on the internet, you have a back door trojan or someone is using your computer as a zombie. But I don't want to FALSE alarm you. It's just a possibility even though you have run a scan on your computer.

I would advise you look at your processes again and the amount of RAM and how much Vista is HOGGING the RAM.
That is the most likely culprit.

Ok if you are running 11 programs at once with 1 gig of Ram of course you are gunna hav a large computer usage, But if i mistaken and u r only running firefox it could be you are streaming a vid it would take a lot of cimputer usage U might hav a runaway program i dont no how to solve that on a PC but it is uselss and sux up ur ram and comp usage and stuff,
