Please help, My in-built wireless adapter isn't working on my Toshiba laptop?

I have a toshiba satellite laptop and often use it for wireless networking, however tonight I have tried to connect and the orange light at the front isn't on, even when the wireless switch is turned on. I also checked using the connectivity doctor and it says the wireless LAN is disabled.
I'm using vista and when I look at device manager I can only find real-tek or something ethernet under network devices, so I'm very confused! My router is working fine as the wireless light is on so I'm sure it's a problem with the computer! Thanks!

It appears you have lost the driver. This is not so uncommon under Vista, it has seemed. Go to Toshiba's website, they will have all the drivers for your laptop. Download and reinstall, after a reboot everything should be working properly.
