Laptop shut down?

hello just a small problem.could anyone tell me why my laptop takes so long to shut down.from logging off to it shutting down it takes about 10 mins. my pc shuts down in a matter of seconds.any answers to this problem would be grateful.thank you in advance.

Depends what you have been using it for.

Computers can get bloated, it is important to use software to keep it clean and healthy.

A great one I use is called CCleaner.

disk cleanup>disk defragmenter

Too many possible causes to even go into here - most likely a service not terminating correctly.

Download superfast shutdown instead (second one down)

Mine does the same. Its installs new updates all the time.

Sounds like you have a lot of programs running when you shut down your computer.If not you can try to defragment your hard drive,just hit start, accessories,system tools,and disk defragment.Also you can hit cleanup disk.Hope this helps you.
