Hp wireless not working? |
Mom has a HP Pavillion dv6707 us laptop, and I needed to install the wireless drivers cause they dissapeared: Is the hardware being recognized in device manager? Do the drivers appear to successfully install? If so, and the device is working properly, (I'm sure I don't need to say this, but) make sure the connection is configured with the proper settings - is the network secured? Are you using the correct key? Are the tcp/ip settings right? And, obviously, make sure it's enabled. If the device appears not to be working properly - noted by a yellow field with a black '!' in the device manager, state what device manager is telling you. It could be that the card is just not working any longer. If you can, get a new wireless card and install it to see if that fixes the problem - then you can assume the old card is dead. try system restore back to when it worked i have the exact same computer it may have a virus that's keeping it from working take it to staples and see if they can check it out |
