About google! help plz!!?

im looking 4 a presesnt for my boyfriends birthday on the internet but each time he types the same letter as the pressent im looking forin the search bar e.g if u put cars

Yip this will happen as its a shortcut to help you find things you have already browsed, its a pain at times!
Im on vista so I hit tools then delete browsing history and tick all including add ons. I know its the history button which again is on the tool bar with XP version. Hope this helps, to keep it all a surprise!

highlight it then press cut or use backspace lol

if your on internet explorer

tools>internet options>browsing history(a picture of a clock with an arrow)>delete>delete all.

Clear you Internet History
Tools>Internet Options
Clear cookies and offline files

If you are using internet explorer(which I assume you are) then when you are done searching click tools
click internet options
click the delete button
click the delete all button

This will delete all the internet temporary files and browsing history.

delete your cookies and off line files

in explrer, click tools, click internet options, you will find two buttons to clear both cookies and offline files.

it sounds liek you have a browser highjack. In other words your computer is infected with something, or more importantly , your browser is.

you need to download CWS shredder and run it but make sure all yoru browser windows are closed first or it wont work.

once you have done that, restart your machine in SAFE MODE by pressing the F8 key as you start yoru pc up. The select 'safe mode' and this will boot your pc into safe mode which means that nothing that isnt really nessesary will run in the background. then run cws shredder again to make sure it didnt miss anyting and again reboot after its run for the 2nd time.

then get a program called 'highjackthis' and run a full scan and then post your log on here or mail it to me and ill tell you what you need to delete, if anything. its dead easy to use so dont panic. Hopefully these 2 things will get rid of the problems :)

as i said, run HJT and it will create a log of the scan which shows you whats on yoru pc so i will then analyise it for you and tell you what is safe to remove and what isnt.
