Please help me with placing a Google ad...?

I am having trouble understanding the process of placing an ad on Google. Can anyone help me with understanding the idea of me deciding exactly what I am paying for the number of "clicks" that I will receive in any given day? I want to place an ad put I don麓t want to spend too much money.

If you're still not clear, let me summarise it for you. There are two types of advertising, which is classified according to cost: Cost per click (CPC) and cost per thousand impressions (CPM). CPC means that you'll only pay when people click on your ads, while CPM means that you'll have to pay after people see your ads (impressions).

The system is so flexible that you'll be able to choose the amount of money you want to pay, depending on your budget.
