Whats the meaning of reciprocal links?

i have submitted my blog http://www.bestnewphones.blogspot.com to many sites.many sites have regular link and reciprocal subbmision .they request reciprocal links.can you explain what is this

Reciprocal links are those, where you need to place a link (URL) which will redirect to their website in Links page of your web site.

1) they provide a code, copy that
2) Go to your links page, place a the code and publish it......
3) URL of the page where you have placed other site's link.......copy that URL
4) paste it in the box where they ask you for RECIPROCAL LINk

Kind of like "you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours".

Reciprocal links should be of similar interests.

Be careful about placing reciprocal links with just any site.

Search engines love quality content related links to your site. I found a great free site that puts "similar" sites in contact with one another in order to exchange links.

Not garbage links from unrelated sites in foreign languages...sites that the engines penalize you for. But high quality, similar content links.
