My Yahoo and Google sites are giving information about United Kingdom information only. How do I get to U.S.?

The search engines do localisation for the searches depending on where you search from - so that searches from the UK will return sites in the UK above other results.

Try running your searches from www.google.com and www.yahoo.com rather than www.google.co.uk and Yahoo! UK. This should minimise this, although there will still be some localisation based on the IP address you are running the searches from.

When you're on the google.com search page, you can also go into advanced search and specify the territory for which you want pages returned ... you can set it to US in there.

You might need a proxy server in the US.

http://www.publicproxyservers.com/page1....

This might fool Google into thinking *you* are in the US, and
relay US results back to you.
