Google is a search portal, allowing people to find websites of interest with minimal hunting and digging. They also offer other services, such as video searching, email, image searching, etc much in the same way that other portals do (including Yahoo). Basically, they want to be able to make the web easier to use, by helping people find what they want.

google has a better search engine it finds anything for ex if you wantto by a stereo u just have to punch in by stereo you dont need www

I know what you mean, and duh of course it's a search engine, but I don't think that was his question.

Google is sooooo annoying. There is nothing to it. I personally love Yahoo. The only good side to google is that you use it as a verb. "I'll google it."
