I think that the Google Earth is out of date. Can anybody tell me if that is true?

The areal photographs of many places I know, seem to be different in some details. I can recognize some old buildings.
Does this happen to you too? How often are the Google Earth pictures updated?

It is true. Google maps are outdated. But that is only becaouse it is illegal to have footage of the world that is recent because it could be used by "terrorists". Well the maps havent updated for 8 years now. I remember looking at my house 8 years ago and its exactly the same now on google.

It all depends on the region and the zoom level. I assume the zoomed out views are very old. In rural areas, they sometimes don't even have zoomed in pictures available. In a suburban area like NJ (where I live), the picture is about 7 years old; I can tell because this was when a middle school was in construction in my neighborhood. I have seen no evidence that they ever update it, but if they do it would be rarely and only for more urban areas.

It has happend to I can't even find the mall that i go or the place where i live it is out of date.

It is a humungous task to keep updating ariel photographs every year..New buildings come and go every month so also make sure you have the latest version which helps http://freegoogleearth.blogspot.com
