Why does google maps kick off yahoo messenger?

Everytime I got to google maps it takes forever and for some reason it kicks yahoo messenger offline. in fact, it might drop all my internet connection for a second or two. what the hell?

I know what you mean. Google Maps is kinda awful.

It might be either a bug with GMaps or Y! Messenger. Most likely it's Google.

I suggest using Live Maps. It's a great alternative to GMaps. There's stuff like:

1. Birds-eye-view - It's like aerial/satellite view, but it's more detailed. You can actually see the sides of buildings like you're in a helicopter. And from all 4 directions!
2. 3D view is the best - You can see realistic 3D cities in full color. And it's super easy to navigate and float around buildings.
3. Making collections is super easy
4. More advanced map-making tools than Gmaps
5. Traffic feature was first and the best
6. 3D Collection tours - You can make your own collection of your locations, and let your friends see it in 3D
7. Simpler streamlined UI

And lots of other stuff. It's just as good as Gmaps, but better in some areas. The only major thing it lacks is Street View. But that's about it.
