Somehow i deleted my web search history, but now i cant find how to turn it back on,?

somehow i deleted my web search history, but now i cant find how to turn it back on, so that the drop down menu is back. ive searched heaps since, and it shows nothing. i thought that deleting your search history only deleted what youd searched up till then, but now it seems permanent. how do i turn it back on?

History deletion doesnt have an on and off setting. sapposing your using ie7, the 2 ways to delete browser history are to click on one of the days listed in the 'by date' listing (and that deletes everything from midnight to midnight for that day) or by doing it manually in the 'by order visited today', or 'by site' (which lists each site once as a folder, tho how far back in time i havent checked).

go to favorites > next to history or history/view click the tiny down pointing arrow and choose 'by order visited today' or 'by site'. you should have the list back again.

I havent used firefox much but think you still need to find 'by order visited today' etc in the history section.

I hope your problem was something like that.

What web browser are you using? History's on by default and it shouldn't get buggered unless something is really wrong.
