This is regarding GMAIL(GOOGLE MAIL)...!!?

i created a label called friends in gmail so tht all the mails frm my friends are clearly visible to me.....!! But i have to select the mail that i get and then label them.Is there a alternative through which the mails tht i get frm my friends are displayed with the label friends in my inbox. I gave red as the colour to the label.So wen i get mail frm my friends' mail i can see red label directly in my inbox without mr manually doin it..!!

Gmail wont know who is your friend until you tell it, This is one time is would bite to have a lot of friends. I don't think there is an alternative.

You have to set up a filter which would automatically take the emails sent by your friends and label them correctly. In order to do this click the 'create a filter' button right next to your search button on the top. Then fill in the 'from' box with the email addresses of your friends and press next step. Then check the box to apply the appropriate label (which you have to select) on those emails.
