Before my pc crashed ,I could search on google ect and days after if I put in the 1st letter? |
I would get a list of sites starting with that same letter ,but I dont now ,That also is the same on e-bay .ie if I search for say Monkey Island ,later if I enter M it would list all searches starting with M. The AutoComplete Feature of your browser is turned on as a default. Go open your Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Content tab > you will see "Auto Complete" click on "settings" then uncheck everything. then click OK. If you're using Internet Explorer there is something called Auto Complete. Check in the Internet Options under the content tab. try a system restore Your "auto complete" function is turned on in your browser. It tries to guess what you are looking for based on your past search history. As soon as you put the first letter in it comes up with all the search terms you typed in before that start with that letter. You can easily turn it off but I would need to know what browser you are using to tell you how to turn it off. don't use autocomplete - can get you in trouble if you view teh pr0n. Yes because it searches the database for all Items containing 'M' |
