I have a personal blog. How can I let people know that I have it? What is the best way to do it?

My blog is new and I want maximum exposure for it. I like people to check it out. I like to get comments. Please help.I need tips.

If you frequent any forums put it in your profile.

If the forum allows you to have a signature then put it in your signature, that way every post you make it's at the bottom of.

You could submit it to search engines such as google. But if it's just a free blog, it will be very difficult to get into the top rankings.

The best way for you would just be word of mouth. If you have an instant messenger, put the link in your name. Direct your friends to your blog too.

Advertising is by far the hardest part of creating and maintaining a website/blog. It takes lots of effort to keep your viewers to return.

A few times a week, you get an email to comment on a site. In return you get a comment. The first is my favorite, the second is so-so, and the last two appear to be dead.

There are also plug board services you can use to promote your site, just do a search for a plug board. You can catch someone's attention by saying "comments returned" however, if you don't, you might get a bad reputation from other bloggers.
