How does facebook work?

Hey guys, some of you might know that i have sent a friend's request to my serious crush on facebook. I sent it yesterday evening and i am not feeling very positive about what i did...i have not received anything from him yet...Now he is probably not a very active user of facebook...although i do see that he has a much bigger friends list than i do...So i was wondering if he rejects me for some reason, what notification would i get...like a notification that tells me that he rejected my request or will the request keep showing as pending....???

I am being a maniac and checking my facebook once every 10 minutes.....please help me out guys!!

Nope, you won't get a notification if he rejected your request. But there IS something you can check to see if your request is just sitting in his inbox and he hasn't done anything with it yet.

First click the "privacy" link at the upper right hand corner. Then click the "Poke, Message, and Friend Request" link. (It's the 4th one.) In the next screen, scroll to the bottom of the page. In the lower right corner is a section called "People Who Can See Your Profile." The names of the people you have friend requested or poked should be in this section.

Check if his name is there. If it's still there, that means it's still sitting in their inbox and he hasn't accepted or rejected you. If it's not there, there's a chance he rejected you. This isn't always 100% accurate though. I've had people whose names didn't show up and a couple days later I find that they've accepted my request. It's weird. But this is just something to check k? Try not to get too crazy about it! lol

the way to see if he has accept you or not is..

It will say on your profile when he accepts you
You can go to his profile and it will say add to friends if it has that he declined you but if says friend request pending or somthing means he hasnt accept you yet (more then likely means he hasnt been on)

Facebook is life by proxy. Ask yourself "What would I do in real life?" and do that. Even better, get off Facebook, go out, call up some real friends, see a movie, go hiking, volunteer at an orphanage or something.

Turn on the news and look at what's going on in the rest of the world and you'll realise that you problems don't amount to squat compared to others'.
