Unstable internet connection...pls..help?

we are currently using a wireless internet.we used to have a good connection in our cafe.but now, everytime somebody wanna use a computer or open 1 of our units our connections gets cut off for 3 to 4 min.then go back 2 normal again.why?im really confused now.i dont know if the router is messsed up or our connection?need help guys....

Check the logs of the router to find what is happening when someone tries to connect. I think there is some problem in ur ip settings, probably with dhcp, if u have.

wo avenues to explore

1) If you are using DSL confirm that all the phone jacks with a phone installed have a filter on them and the jack with the modem/router has a splitter.

2) Confirm that there are no other wireless devices in the 2.4 G frequency nearby. e.g wireless phones, nursery monitor etc. IF so move them.

You could also have a neighbor with a wireless router that has a very strong signal.

Consider updating the firmware on your router. Go to the manufacturer's web site to check for updates.
