Can I set up a wireless network if I am only using a laptop?

If I can, do I need a special network adapter?

yes you can get into your router with a laptop and configure it. you might want to be plugged in, making changes to the router wifi will dis connect at every save.

.....yes, all you should need is a Wireless Router, Modem, and your laptop should have wireless in it......

You probably want a wireless hub to serve at the middle of your network. And your laptop will need a wireless lan card, if it doesn't have one already.

saying a wireless network implys that you want to set up multiple computers together wirelessly, if that is in fact what you are talking about, yes you can, you will need a wireless router and more than one computer to make a network.. although if you jsut want a wireless connection to the internet, you also can, just need a wireless router and a built in wireless card in laptop or you can buy a wireless card for it that plugs in via usb.
