How to use multiple internet connections in Win XP .? |
I have a broadband connection which connects through ethernet (LAN)and a windows mobile based device which can be connected through usb . Is it possible to connect both at a time and get combined bandwidth or atleast better performance ... How ?? ( I am new to networking so please forgive my poor usage of technical terms) You can not do this, and in fact any attempt to do so will slow the machine, as it will waste time on every packet sent deciding which connection to use. For 2 connections to work together, you would need software to link both your end and the remote end of the connection into one stream. This means using the same ISP for both, and even then they are never willing to allow this. no can't be done Some companies offer affordable devices that have 2 eth ports to which you can connect two internet connections. The device then has a feature sometimes called load balancing that allows you to share the bandwidth. |
