Nvidia Graphics Cards ?

Im currrently trying to work out what graphics card I should purchase with my Quad Core System. Ive Ruled out the series 9 geforce cards as they do not perform as well as the 8800GTs.

So whats the fuss about the

XFX GeForce 8800GS 384MB DDR3 which is more expencive and has higher reviews than the 512mb 8800s ?

Either get the 8800 GT with the 670 core clock, or.... wait a lil bit because the 9800s should be coming out soon this month sometime....

Compare clock speeds, specifically on the GPU. Likely the memory clocks will be similar but the GPU clock speeds are where it's really happening, and appropriate cooling as well. That's what you're paying for.
