Whats the ATI alternative to the Nvidia Geforce 8800 GT and which is better ?

Im currently pricing up cards, I have knowlage on Nvidia Cards but not sure where to start looking at ATI cards. What is the latest decent budget cards capable to playing Crysis on Max for example.

ATI 3870 is the alternative... its cheaper and holds up well against the 8800gt

There aren't any budget cards that can play Crysis on max settings. Crysis can bring the 8800GTX and Ultra to their knees with everything maxed out.

If you're looking in the budget category, try to wait for a little while longer. Prices are falling on the 8800 series since the 9800 will be coming out in March. I've seen 8800GT for under $200 already and the 8800GTX for $350! Another week or two will have prices falling even farther.

3870 but it is cheaper and a little under powered but for 220 what can you expect
the 3870 x2 is 440 to 540 ( here in Canada) and is a awesome card
