Will any kind of ddr2 RAM work on my computer?? |
Ok I'm thinking of upgrading my current RAM 512mb. I went to crucial.com and they said my computer could take up to 2gb RAM. I currently have 512mb ddr2-533 (266MHz). I want to take this 512 mb of RAM out and place in 2 x 1gb of ram but i am wondering, will any kind of ddr2 RAM work or do i have to get 2 x 1gb of ddr2-533 RAM?? http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/configur... If you do an add on ill check on your question again and tell you. But i need to know your mother board model to tell you if you can support Higher Levels of DDR2. No!!!!!!!!!!!!! no my friend(2gb ram)for a 266MHz, that won't work for a non-regular board but perhaps in IBM,DELL, SONY(laptops) will do but for desktop(not that sure if it will work!cause of the old models) |
